How to make it
- 1Chill a highball glass and measure each ingredient.
- 2Add Becherovka and chilled tonic water to the highball glass, putting any sparkling ingredient in last.
- 3Add ice and stir gently three times to combine without flattening bubbles.
- 4Finish with lemon wedge and serve immediately.
The story behind Czech Beton
The Beton combines Czech herbal Becherovka with tonic; its name contracts the two ingredients and also means “concrete.” The bitter, spiced highball is a straightforward way to enjoy the national liqueur.
