red wine and lemon soda, half and half, cold. Tinto de verano—literally “summer red wine”—is Spain’s unfussy warm-weather cooler. Equal parts red wine and lemon soda make it lighter and quicker than sangria, so it is a familiar order at Spanish terraces and beach bars.
