- 2 oz (60 ml) dark rum
- 4 oz (120 ml) cola
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) fresh lime juice
- 0.25 oz (7 ml) alcohol-free kava syrup

How to make it
- 1Chill a highball glass and measure each ingredient.
- 2Add dark rum, cola, lime juice and alcohol-free kava syrup to the highball glass, putting any sparkling ingredient in last.
- 3Add ice and stir gently three times to combine without flattening bubbles.
- 4Finish with lime wheel and serve immediately.
The story behind Kava Cola
This house cocktail references Fiji’s ceremonial kava culture without mixing alcohol with traditionally prepared kava. A commercial alcohol-free kava-flavored syrup adds an earthy note to a familiar rum, cola and lime highball.
